About diagnostics into

Legacy Launcher, at will of the user, may send diagnostics information. Content on this page is up-to-date since the release of version 159.0.

Where do I find this "diagnostic information"

For simplicity, let's call them logs. You can find them in the Logger. The long text you'll see in there will be sent to us as-is.

What do we write in Logger?

Everything we might consider significant (or not so significant). For example: current time, executable location, user name in the system, configuration of the launcher and Minecraft, output of launched applications, etc.

How do I find logs?

  1. Open Legacy Launcher
  2. Click Preferences – Launcher & game preferences – “Launcher” tag
  3. Set Logger: Enabled.
  4. Click “Save”
  5. Logger window will show up

Note: Logs in logger window may be truncated. You can open log file that is never truncated by clicking on the floppy disk icon.

Where do we send logs?

We send into «Pasta» (https://pasta.llaun.ch). It's our private logs storage. Nobody, except Legacy Launcher support team, is authorized to read the logs you send to us.

How do we use logs?

We use logs to help when you contact us regarding your problem. Logs are stored only seven days after the upload date, but this period may be extended by administrator. You can ask us to delete your logs, if you want.
